An ever-evolving project in the heart of Mykonos, Scarpa Bar showcases a dynamic architectural identity defined by organic forms and fluid geometries. The interior composition embraces curved volumes, sculpted ceilings, and continuous surfaces, reflecting the Cycladic architectural language in a contemporary interpretation. Natural textures and handcrafted finishes merge with soft lighting, creating a space that feels both spontaneous and meticulously designed. Each seasonal transformation enhances the spatial experience, maintaining the venue’s vibrant character and architectural authenticity while adapting to the island’s evolving lifestyle and aesthetic trends.
The custom organic ceiling lights are sculptural elements inspired by the irregular stone slabs of traditional Mykonian pavements. Each fixture is handcrafted, echoing the natural imperfections and flowing geometry of local stonework. The design combines raw plaster textures with wooden interiors, creating a tactile dialogue between craftsmanship and modern lighting technology. Their soft, rounded volumes integrate seamlessly with the whitewashed ceiling structure, diffusing light in a way that enhances the bar’s architectural fluidity and island authenticity, while maintaining a distinctly contemporary, artisanal character.
The personal supervision and on-site design process define the architectural philosophy of MFASIS. Every custom element of the project is meticulously crafted through direct involvement and real-time creative adjustments, ensuring that design intent and craftsmanship coexist seamlessly. This hands-on approach allows for authentic material expression, precision in execution, and a final result that reflects both artisanal quality and architectural integrity — hallmarks of the MFASIS design identity.
