Contemporary Offices AFRY

AFRY Offices — Mavili Square, Athens

Within a landmark Intracom building, we redesigned the Athens workspace for AFRY, the international Swedish company advancing green energy. The scheme organizes a double-height volume with flowing curves, a sculpted mezzanine, and full-height glazing that visually links collaboration areas and focused workstations. Monochrome ceilings with bespoke luminous discs provide even, low-glare lighting and guide circulation, while herringbone wood flooring and warm upholstery soften the high-tech palette. A compact meeting suite and agile benching support hybrid work, bringing clarity, transparency, and a contemporary identity aligned with AFRY’s sustainable ethos.

Ceiling & Acoustics Detail

A sculpted ceiling pocket with perimeter LEDs delivers soft, glare-free illumination and guides movement along the corridor. At the axis, an acoustic phone-booth offers a private zone for sensitive calls or video without disrupting the open plan. Underfoot, a seamless white epoxy floor (high-gloss, high-build) provides a durable, hygienic, easy-to-clean surface that boosts brightness through light reflectance.

Organic Ceiling & Timber Rhythm

An organic composition shapes the workspace: curved plaster soffits sweep across the ceiling, intersecting with solid timber beams that add structure, warmth, and acoustic control. Integrated linear LEDs follow the curves, washing light evenly and guiding movement. Clear glazing keeps the plan open and connected, while a herringbone wood-look floor grounds the space with a durable, easy-care finish. The result is a calm, contemporary environment where soft geometry meets crafted detail.
