MARINA PORTO CARRAS

A contemporary architectural intervention located in the Marina of Porto Carras, designed with fluid, ship-inspired curves and metallic structural forms that echo the silhouette of a yacht. The design establishes a seamless dialogue between sea, structure, and light, shaping a unique floating-deck atmosphere for boat owners and guests of the marina.

A series of curved steel frames rise rhythmically above the bar, forming a sculptural canopy that defines the lounge’s identity. Each metal arch is precisely engineered to convey both lightness and structural integrity, creating a spatial rhythm that echoes the motion of waves and the silhouette of a yacht’s hull.

The initial design sketches explore the dialogue between structure and movement, inspired by the forms of sailing vessels and marine architecture. Curved profiles, masts, and tensile geometries emerge as recurring motifs — expressing the tension between gravity and lightness, metal and air.

The illuminated ribs integrate linear LED lighting, accentuating the curvature and generating a sense of fluid continuity throughout the night. This composition blends marine aesthetics with architectural minimalism, transforming a simple structural gesture into an iconic landmark within the marina landscape.
